What’s your role at Zego and where do you sit within the organisation?

VP, Growth, UK - I am looking after our B2B and B2C Commercial Teams, as well as our Performance Marketing team & Partnerships.

When did you start at Zego? And what made you choose the company?

I started at Zego 7 weeks ago :) and I typically make decisions to join a company based on three dimensions:

  • Will I enjoy working with the people? I absolutely loved everyone I met during my interviewing process
  • Is the problem the company is trying to solve interesting? Although I had never thought of entering the fintech world, I was fascinated by the problem that Zego is trying to solve and the impact it can have on the insurance industry
  • Will I be in an always-on learning role? Absolutely!

What did you do before you started here?

I have always worked in the Tech startup world. I have held different roles (local & central) at Groupon (Revenue Management), Deliveroo (Heading up Commercial in our EMEA and APAC markets) and Side (Chief Revenue Officer).

How have you found settling into your team and at Zego?

Everyone has been very welcoming making me already feel part of the team!

What’s your main goal for this year and where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I used to have very specific plans. I once read an article about the Pursuit of Interestingness, aka all the opportunities one could miss by being fixed in what s/he wants to achieve. So I don’t make such long-term plans anymore. What I’m sure of, is that I would like to continue to impact people’s lives.

What’s an interesting hobby you have that people may not know about?

I love two things in life: Travelling and dancing! But the one new thing I’m planning to learn this year is coaching. I’m starting a course at Instead this year to become a Business Coach.

When and why did you start this hobby?

I have found the journey of being coached fascinating. And I’ve always used some coaching practices, in my management style. I would like one day to put this in practice; maybe my Chapter 2 in life? :)
