We’re delighted to announce that Zego is a member of Uber’s insurance panel. Uber has launched its insurance panel to streamline its insurance policy process and has chosen a number of providers to ensure that its drivers can access a wide range of policies to suit their needs.

For new drivers onboarding with Uber, the launch of the insurance panel will help to streamline their insurance verification process, helping them get started quicker. Existing drivers covered by members of the panel will also benefit from gaining access to Instadoc, which means proof of their cover will be sent to Uber automatically, saving them time on their cover.

Zego’s place on Uber’s insurance panel is a testament to how we’ve designed a range of products to support drivers working with Uber. If you take out a policy with Zego as an Uber driver-partner, you can link your Zego account with your Uber profile to benefit from our most competitive price for your cover and access a hassle-free insurance experience with your documents sent to Uber automatically.

What does the launch of the panel mean for drivers not insured with a panel member?

If you are covered by an insurer that is not a member of Uber’s insurance panel, you will need to make sure that you renew with an Instadoc-approved provider when your policy expires.

At Zego, we offer a range of options for drivers working with Uber. You can get cover that lasts as long as you need it by choosing between our annual, 30-day and 7-day policy options. You can also get as much protection as you need by selecting Fully Comprehensive or Third Party Only cover.

If you’re interested in getting a quote for your cover, you can get an Uber insurance quote now — it only takes a minute.

What does the launch of the panel mean for existing Zego customers?

If you drive with Uber, have a live Zego policy and you have linked your Uber profile with your Zego account, you don’t need to do anything. Your cover will continue as before and you do not need to take any action.

If you drive with Uber, have a live Zego policy and you have not linked your Uber profile with your Zego account, or if you have not added Uber as a work provider, you will need to make sure your accounts are linked. That way, you can make sure there’s no interruption to your access to the Uber platform.
