How to download the Zego Sense App

So you’ve decided on a Zego Sense policy (great choice!) and now it’s time to start making the most of it. First things first, you’ll need to download the Zego Sense app. It’ll only take a few seconds and you’ll be on your way to savings in no time!

1. Go to your app store and search Zego Sense

2. Download the Zego Sense app, it should look something like this:

3. Open up the app and enter your email address to request a login link

4. You’ll be logged into the Zego Sense app, and it will be linked to your policy!

How to enable permissions on the Zego Sense App

Now that you've got the Sense app installed on your phone, we'll explain how to switch on your permissions on iPhone, then Android.

How to enable permissions on iOS

Once you’ve logged into the Sense app, you’ll see a screen outlining the different permissions you need to enable for Sense to work. These are: Location, Motion, and Background App Refresh.

Click the Get Started button to learn how to enable each permission.

First, you’ll need to enable Location access. So, when you’re prompted on the next screen, select the ‘Allow While Using App’ option.

Next, head to your phone’s settings and scroll down to the Zego app settings.

Click the location settings tab, and select ‘Always’. Then, return to the Zego app.

Secondly, you’ll need to enable your motion permissions to make the Zego Sense app more accurate.

When you see the pop-up saying “Zego Sense would like to access your Motion & Fitness Activity”, select “OK”.

Lastly, you’ll need to turn on your background app refresh settings.

To do this, go to your phone’s General Settings and find the Background App Refresh tab.

Make sure the option is set to “On”, and that the Zego Sense app specifically has the setting enabled.

That’s it, you’re all set!

How to enable permissions on Android

First, request a log in link so we can verify your identity and link your policy to the app.

You’ll be sent a magic link to your email address. If you don’t see it, make sure you’ve entered the correct details and check in your spam folder.

Click the link in the e-mail, and you’ll be redirected back to the app. We’ll need you to accept the terms and conditions before using Sense.

Next, you’ll see a screen outlining the different permissions you need to enable for Sense to work. These are: Location, Motion, and Background App Refresh.

Click the Get Started button to learn how to enable each permission.

First, you’ll need to enable Location access. Click the “Turn on, thanks!” button, and you’ll see a pop up prompting you to enable your location permissions. Select “While Using the app”.

Next, you’ll see another pop-up asking you to switch the permissions to “Always allow” in your phone’s settings.

Click the “Go to Settings” button, and you’ll be taken to the Zego location permissions page within your phone’s settings. Select “Allow all the time”.

Secondly, you’ll need to enable your motion permissions to make the Zego Sense app more accurate.

When you see the pop-up saying “Allow Zego Sense to access your physical activity?”, select “Allow”.

Lastly, you’ll see a screen requesting background access. Click the “Turn on, thanks!” button.

That’s it, you’re all set!
