We are excited to announce that Zego has won the Tech Company of the Year Award for medium-sized businesses, at the UK Business Tech Awards.
These awards are judged by an independent panel made up of some of the UK’s leading experts on technology and are designed to celebrate innovation and growth in some of the UK’s finest tech businesses.
Announcing Zego as the winner of the award, judge and Head of Digital at Together, Shilpa Lindley, said:
“All the judges, including me, felt that this tech company was truly innovative. We felt that they were confident and reacted to the market, but most importantly to the needs of their customers. We all felt that the idea of allowing customers to downgrade their policy during covid was truly excellent and truly innovative.”
Reflecting on this award, Zego’s CEO and co-founder, Sten Saar, said:
“This award recognises our commitment to putting our customers first, not just in difficult times, but at all times. It's also testament to the hard work and dedication of our team here at Zego, and welcome recognition of their relentless push for progress.”
This year, we have launched a number of initiatives designed to help our customers, including the option to downgrade their cover temporarily to Social, Domestic & Pleasure only, so they could save on insurance costs, but still use their vehicles for personal driving.
Many of our customers continue to play an instrumental role in keeping the country moving, delivering goods to those who need them and transporting other key workers between their homes and places of work. At Zego, we feel proud that we have been able to continue to support customers through some extremely challenging times this year, just as they have been able to support the nation.
As this year begins to draw to a close, we are already looking ahead to the next as we continue to grow all aspects of Zego, including the products we offer and the size of our team.
