Taxi licensing across Greater Manchester

There is no such thing as a Greater Manchester badge. Taxi and private hire licensing in England is done locally: Department for Transport figures record 263 separate licensing authorities in England as at April 2024, and licensing is administered by individual local authorities rather than regionally.
So your badge came from a particular council. In Greater Manchester that means one of the ten boroughs: Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford or Wigan. Rules and fees are set by whoever licensed you, so check with them rather than assuming the city region sets one standard.
