AMAZON FLEX INSURANCE

Amazon Flex delivery drivers require hire and reward insurance to cover them for delivery services. This is sometimes known as commerical car insurance. We have a detailed article on which type of insurance you need for Amazon Flex.

Before applying for our hire and reward insurance for Amazon Flex, it’s a good idea to make sure you can say ‘yes’ to all of these:

• You’re between 21 and 75 years old.
• You have a full UK or EU driving licence.
• You’ve had no more than 2 claims in the last 3 years (regardless of fault).
• You’re the vehicle owner or registered keeper.
• The value of your car is less than £30,000.
• You live and work in England, Scotland or Wales.

Your vehicle should be mid-size or bigger, with at least 5 seats. If your car has fewer than 5 seats, you won’t be able to use it to make deliveries.

The exceptions are vans and enclosed-bed pickup trucks, where the covered space is used to protect parcels from weather damage.

We can cover you if you’re between 21 and 75 years old.

First, you’ll need to check that you meet the following requirements:

- You have a full UK or EU driving licence.
- You’ve had no more than 2 claims in the last 3 years (regardless of fault).
- You’re aged 21–75.
- You’re the vehicle owner or registered keeper.
- You live and work in England, Scotland or Wales.
- The current value of your car is less than £30,000.

Amazon has said that you’ll need to acknowledge that you have, or will have commercial insurance in place by 31st October 2022. You’ll be able to do this in the Amazon Flex app.

Before you call us, it helps to have the following details ready:

• Your Zego policy number.
• Date, time and location of the incident.
• Registration plate numbers of all vehicles involved.
• Details of the other driver(s) — their name, address and licence number.
• A police reference number (if they attended the incident).
• Any witness details.
• Any photographs or videos taken at the scene of the accident.

Once we have the information we need, we’ll get to work on your claim and keep you updated at every step.
